Review

Amare La Casa

They specialize in wardrobes and kitchen cabinets. They have two types of wardrobe system.

i) Wood frame wardrobe : This is an open space wardrobe that uses floor, ceilings and walls to construct it.

Pros: A new and contemporary type of storage solution. Comes with customizable sections.

Can be used a walk in closet.

Cons : Prone to collects dust. ii) Pole system wardrobe : Pole system is an effective way to save space and materials to construct an wardrobe . This is a new type of setting which I wasn't aware of.

Living Gaia

Living Gaia is a design firm. They seem to be using new techniques and design trends. Living Gaia first caught my eye with their green grass flooring and wall design. Their unique flushed sliding door is a refreshing idea to camouflage wardrobes and room doors.

Rezt and Relax

Rezt and Relax is a design firm. They have quality designers with impressive design ideas. The staff were very friendly is showing around the place enthusiastically. Their expo showcase was well lay-outed and designed. I found the idea of partitioning between the rooms with simple design shapes quite impressive. It was minimalistic and interesting. They also briefed us on some new material they have been using. It's called the quartz . It's being used as kitchen and island counter tops. It is more effective than the traditional marble or granite counter tops because they both absorb water and may leave a mark whereas quartz has resistance over water

Ciseern

Ciseern is an another design firm which specializes in interior design. Their designs are exceptionally good and personally my favorite. One of the staff [Wen Jie] briefly gave a lecture about the design and space planning. We also talked about the design industry in Singapore. I liked their compact apartment layout. Small but convenient exactly what we need for today's limited space. They also use Quartz for their kitchen and they provide it in different colors. Overall the exhibition was unique interesting and i was able to learn about some new materials and interesting features.
